Google Pixel Fold: Samsung's first big competitor comes out swinging

I know swing means:

moving back and forth or from side to side while suspended or on an axis.
"an old mahogany grandfather clock with a swinging pendulum"
But this is not what the sentence means. Does it mean Google Pixel Fold has lost to its competitor, Samsung?

The sentence is a headline. These are designed to grab your attention rather than to be taken as meaningful content.

The second article was published after the product was released and tells us that the product was not the success that was anticipated in the first.

To be honest, I didn't read the second.
