[General] what is the meaning of "part of the act"?

Blind date girl said “You are really good at everything”. To boast of yourself more, can you say "it's part of the act."

I guess you could as a joke. If you think she'll share your sense of humour.

You need to write out something like "a girl I had a blind date with". "Blind date girl" kind of sounds like the girl was blind; it's awkward phrasing.
