What is the difference between "Will update you" and "Will update to you"

What is the difference between "Will update you" and "Will update to you"

Re: What is the difference between "Will update you" and "Will update to you"

Welcome to the forum, dharmendra.chauhan. :hi:

Neither is a complete sentence - the verb has no subject. I/we will update you is possible; to you is not.

Re: What is the difference between "Will update you" and "Will update to you"

Sorry 5jj, forgot to add subject. I want to ask the difference between these two sentences:

1. I will update you,
2. I will update to you.

Re: What is the difference between "Will update you" and "Will update to you"

#2 is incorrect. I said in my last post that 'to you' was not possible.

Sorry, guys, but I can't translate the sentence: I will update you. How I need to understand it?
Sorry for stupid question.

I strongly agree with 5jj. He is correct, "I will update to you" is not a correct format. So accept " I will update you."

Sorry for stupid question.

What do you mean by "I can't translate the sentence 'I will update you' "? Are you trying to translate it into a different language?

I will update you = I will give you the latest information [about whatever subject you are talking about].
