What is the difference between the regular edition and the "landmark edition" of a book?

I find some books on Amazon marked "landmark edition",like 1663426185664.png , 1663426245229.png Is the landmark edition a special edition released on an anniversary? I don't quite understand the meaning of it.
 
The Landmark series was published by Random House. They were targeted to youngsters nine to fifteen. They cover various topics.
