Hi

I have these sentences. Could you tell me if there is a difference between the usage of become and get.

1.I always get/become upset when I watch the news.
2.It was reported that many of the guests got/became ill with food poisoning.
3. I am getting/becoming better slowly.
4.My little newphew is determined to become/be a pilot when he grows up.

In #s 1, 2, and 3 "get" and "become" mean the same, although, in #3 "getting" is more idiomatic.
In #4 "become" cannot be replaced by "get".
