A bank is a building. A bank is also the institution, the company. Bank is also a verb.

The bank on the corner of Elm and Park street is closing.
Grammar Bank is the second largest in the U.S.
I bank with Grammar Bank.

Banking is the "noun-form" of the verb "to bank" just like "swimming" is like a noun and is from ther verb "to swim," etc.
Banking with Grammar Bank is convenient.
I do my banking with Grammar Bank.

"Banking" can also refer to the industry or the activity.
