Article usage is very complex and cannot be reduced to a few rules. Many learners find it takes years to work out all the nuances.
 
I have read - and I agree - that the natural use of articles is the last thing to fall in place for your writing to be considered "native-like."
 
Tricky little devils. They really give the ESL students a hard time.
 
Note that "good night" is a way of saying "goodbye." Use "good evening" (or just a simple "Hello") instead.
 
It's only evening in certain time zones. This is a global forum.

We don't even need 'Hello'. Just go ahead and ask your question.:cool:
