What is right? write for or to a reception?

Please help me how I should write the sentence: You must write to the reception when you will arrive at the hotel. OR You must write for a reception when you will arrive at the hotel ?? I don´t understand either what is the difference between the prepositions FOR an TO in this case. Thank you very much fo answer Jan
 
You write to people,but here I would use something like you must tell reception when you will arrive.
