Hello,

It's a video from Youtube that I cannot really understand what it tries to say.

Would you please transcribe it or at least tell the gist of its content?

Regards,

The actor reads in a mock Russian accent. He says A four-alarm fire in downtown Moscow clears way for a glorious new tractor factory. And, on the lighter side of the news, hundreds of capitalists are soon to perish in shuttle disaster.

I'm not 100% sure about "soon" but I can't think of any other possible word for that spot.

It sounds like "sure" not "soon". Hopefully I do not sound like this.

Russian accents sound charming to Americans. To this one, anyway. I have a bunch of cousins who speak with varying degrees of Russian accents and I never get tired of listening to them.

I heard soon not sure, but it could be the man's accent. ;-)

I heard "soon" too or, rather like Piscean, I clearly heard an "n" at the end of the word, even though the rest of it was slightly drowned out by the sound of the explosion.

A little lip-reading is enough to confirm that it's 'soon' and not 'sure'.

All right, all right, I surrender. Native speakers won.:)
