[General] What does this sentence mean? He brushed past, toppling her from her stool.

I don't understand this sentence.


Can anybody help me out please?

As he passed her, he bumped into her and knocked her off the stool she was sitting on.

:up: But the choice of words is strange. Brushing past (very slight contact, maybe only clothes). She must have been wobbling already for his brushing past to have toppled her!
