"shout blue murder"

:-?

It means to shout very loudly in anger or sometimes fear. In BrE, it's "to scream blue murder". Did you try to Google the phrase first? I found lots of definitions when I Googled it.

I tried to do so, but the internet connection was very bad, and no other page was giving any connection, Never had I any other choice, And thanks for surfing the information for me.

This is interesting. I've never heard "shout blue murder" in the US, but we will "yell/scream bloody murder."

Yell bloody murder | Define Yell bloody murder at Dictionary.com - Definition 10

10. yell / scream bloody murder, a. to scream loudly in pain, fear, etc.
b. to protest loudly and angrily: If I don't get a good raise I'm going to yell bloody murder.

T- I wonder if you could change the idiom defiintion to include the American version as an alternate?
