[Grammar] What are "so" and "loud" used as in sentence :- "Don't talk so loud."?

What are "so" and "loud" used as in sentence :- "Don't talk so loud."?

This is not my homework.

What are "so" and "loud" used as in sentence :- "Don't talk so loud."?

I think so is used as adverb and loud is used as adjective.
Am I right?
If not, please correct me with detailed explanation.

"'Loud" is an adverb there. Many would prefer "loudly". "So" is used as an intensifier. That deals with the degree of loudness.
