What is Short Vowel Sounds?

What are Auxiliary Verbs?

Welcome to the forums, SPG:-D, and thank you for giving your post a good title. Next time, though, please ask unrelated questions in separate threads.

Short vowel sounds don't last long, like in pat, pet, pit, pot and put.

Long vowel sounds occur in hate, cedar, fight, mode and flute.
