Lisa Mojsin says that 'can' can be pronounced kɪn ( short i ) in her book

so can sounds like kin ( all the people in your family )

I also heard this 'can' when watching DVD/ movie


Is it standard British accent and American accent ?

so in general statement : unstressed form of 'can' can sound like kin ( short i ) ?
( kin means all the people in your family )

It's not that common in British English- we generally use a schwa, but it can almost disappear but I wouldn't say it's /kɪn/ .
