We jumped into the water with bullets whizzing past our ears.

That's a sentence I found on the Longman website. It exemplifies with (meaning #12).

What I want to ask is: Is it just me, or is with redundant/unnatural in that sentence?

It's not unnatural, but you can manage without it, using a comma instead.
