Hi all
what does it mean "We are through" ?
I think is related to any problems 2 fiances might have, so strictly related to a couple of people..for intimate things.
The previous post is mentioning a song where I found the sentence "If ever you deceive me we're through".
If this is not the case, can "we are through" be used in other context like in a work environment?
Thanks mnstn

'The affair is over'. It can be used of any enterprise/venture - but a sexual relationship is the most common context. I imagine the phrase was adopted originally for the benefit of lyricists - you, too, blue... ;-)

I thought my words 'It can be used of any enterprise/venture' might have conveyed roughly that meaning... :-?;-)
