Does this sound natural?

"Don't rush to get a booster shot. Let's wait for a few more months, a better vaccine is on the way".

However, you've spliced the final two thoughts into one. I'd suggest writing these three thoughts as three separate sentences.

Also, there is some incohesion between the first sentence, which seems to be addressing a second person (the listener), and the second sentence, which is suggesting an action to be taken by both the speaker and the listener. Is that really what you meant to say?
 
Make sure that your title uses the same words you ask us about in your post. Your title was "wait a few more month" but you actually used "wait for a few more months".

Okay. In that case, don't use Let's. Just use a simple imperative form:

Wait a few more months.
 
You could use a semicolon instead of making it three sentences.
