1. Little Johnny, would you like to do a jigsaw puzzle?
2. Little Johnny, would you like to play a jigsaw puzzle?

1. You finished the puzzle by yourself. That's very good. Now, tear it down and do it again.
2. You finished the puzzle by yourself. That's very good. Now, disassemble it and do it again.

You can do a puzzle. You can't play one.

Although disassemble is not wrong, the natural way to express the last pair is Now, take it apart and do it again.

You can also say,"break it up". The kid will understand.
