It's the adjective to describe people and things from Switzerland.

It's the adjective to describe people and things from Switzerland.

yes, but what does it refer to here? "almond"? or "ice cream"?

Thanks

Well, Americans like to make up adjectives and false associations to sell their products. At Starbucks one time I had a "Madagascar Chicken Salad Sandwich" which was ordinary curry. Haagen Daz is a fake Scandinavian name which sounds European enough to signify quality food. It's a common trick in North America.

What an irrelevant comment!

Swiss almonds are almonds with a sweet or honey coating.

And lest you think this was made up as marketing ploy, you can check it out on the Nestle site. Unless the American are secretly manipulating the Swiss now in an attempt at market domination.

So Swiss Chalet must be a chocolate covered log cabin?

What an irrelevant comment!

It is relevant, because learners of our language should be told honestly about our culture and the way in which commerce distorts the use of language here. That's completely germane, and reacting that way to it is uncalled for.
