CDC gives final OK for immediate distribution of Pfizer Covid vaccine for kids ages 5 to 11

Source: CNBC

As I read the phrase "Covid vaccine for kids ages 5 to 11", I immediately thought of "Covid vaccine for kids aging 5 to 11" and wondered whether "ages" is used correctly here. But on second thought, it seems that "ages 5 to 11" can serve as an adverbial phrase of time to make the headline grammatical. I am not very sure.
Are both "Covid vaccine for kids ages 5 to 11" and "Covid vaccine for kids aging 5 to 11" grammatical and natural?

The vaccine in question is for kids ages 5- to 11. The other one doesn't work.

Covid vaccine for kids ages 5 to 11 is possible, but rather less natural than Covid vaccine for kids aged 5 to 11.

Covid vaccine for kids aging 5 to 11
is not possible.
