using the gerund

I wanted to know if it's gramamtically correct to use the gerund instead of having to repeat "we, you and they" for example.

"We are packing our bags before moving house."
"We are packing our bags before we move house."
"They need to learn some manners before they talk to me."
"They need to learn some manners before talking to me."
 
Yes, in fact it is better.
 
I [STRIKE]wanted[/STRIKE] would like to know if it's grammatically correct to use the gerund instead of [STRIKE]having to[/STRIKE] repeating "we", "you" and "they", for example.
