Hi,
I have a problem when writing some words that contains 'i' or 'e';
like impossible, different, etc.
i don't know where i must use 'i' or 'e', especially when am trying to write a word i just heard, and don't know how to spell it.
is there any rule to work on?
Regards.

Welcome to the forum, IbrahimS. :hi:

Trying to spell a word that you have heard is very difficult in English. However, you can be reasonable certain that if you hear the vowel sound of 'bed' it will not be spelt with a letter i, and that if you hear the vowel sound of 'bid', it will not be spelt with a letter e.

Thanks for your reply.
that's what am doing usually, but still a little hard though.

I noticed that the 'i' letter pronounced like an 'e' more than the 'e' letter.
sorry for the poor explanation but i don't know how to explain it.
is it right or not?

Can you give some examples of this? I can't at the moment think of a single word in which the letter i in a stressed syllable in a word has the pronunciation of the vowel in bed.
