Use Marketing for Shopping

I was listening local radio station last night. 2 guys were discussing about shopping and they said " We love to do marketing during listening music. How many of you are familiar with use of marketing for shopping?

The whole point of marketing is to get people to talk about your brand. I don't know what you mean by "during listening music", because as far as I know there is no such thing as listening music. The point of marketing is that when people go shopping they consider your brand. However, "the use of marketing for shopping" is a foreign concept to me. (You might want to rephrase your question.)
