[Vocabulary] Usage of the verb "to reckon"

I have a question about verb "to reckon" Is it often used in the meanings "to consider" and "to make a calculation"? Does it sound normal for native speakers?

The first meaning is common. The second is archaic. (A decent dictionary would have told you that.)
