I can't understand the meaning of sentence.
How did "hear" & "yell" come together?

I can't understand the meaning of that sentence. How [STRIKE]did[/STRIKE] do "hear" & "yell" [STRIKE]come[/STRIKE] go/work together?

I heard him do something. What did I hear him do? I heard him yell.

Would you have the same problem with, for example, "I saw him fall off his bike"?
