Hi there!

Could you please reveal the meaning to me?

From Anne Tyler's 'Vinegar girl': "And Bunny didn’t even remember their mother, although some of Bunny’s gestures were uncannily similar—the demure tuck of her chin, for instance, and her habit of nibbling prettily on the very tip of her index finger."

Is 'tuck' an action (as on the 2nd pic), or a state (1st pic)?

Thanks a lot!

Igor

The writer is referring to the way she holds her chin, so I guess it's a state. But it's a state resulting from an action. So take your pick.

Thanks a lot!
