I have already timestamped the link.

If I'm talking to someone and it's not going anywhere, from now on I'm just going to cut to that in a box... do that now, just, we are just going to cut to it, and uh, yeah, and suddenly, (2:17) the whole tone of the interview is staged.

Just wondering if the last part is correct. I guess "staging" the tone of the interview kind of makes sense, but it's an expression I haven't come across and I'm thinking maybe I heard wrong. The giggling doesn't exactly help, either. Can anyone give this part a quick listen and confirm?

Thank you again for your help. It's been more than a decade since I first became a member here, and I must say I owe this great place a lot. Thank you for making this great pool of knowledge a reality, and thank you for helping learners like me improve.

He says "the whole tone of the interview is changed". Because he's laughing a little when he says it, the "ch" isn't very pronounced but it's what he says. It makes perfect sense grammatically too.
