I think the context ('IP') makes it clear enough if you use either. Without the 'IP' though there's a risk of crossing wires with another meaning of 'tracer', as in Tracer ammunition - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ;-)

In Pink Floyd's song, "them kids" is London slang for "those kids". Even if you replaced "them" with "those" here: "I use them both terms." it wouldn't be correct.
