Three years in the culmination, fulmination, boil and roil, Metallica (better known as the Black Album for its stupid cover), found the band giving a large cross-section of their audience what they’ve always wanted, more grinding groove, less technical, blinding thrash.
"Top Heavy Metal Abums" by Martin Popoff.
So in other words the album Metallica (Black Album) was "Three years in the culmination, fulmination, boil and roil"-but what does the words in bold mean in the sentence? I can't get the meaning from the combined words. Could you please rephrase it or explain?
