Does this sound natural in English?

This code was provided to me by Pavel Pertsev, the author of the Gruvbox themes.

Context: I'm talking about a chunk of computer code.

Yes, it's fine.

You could also say something like 'This code is courtesy of Pavel ....' or "This code comes courtesy of Pavel....'

Those aren't necessarily any better than your original, just alternate ways of saying it.

The active voice generally sounds more natural.

"Pavel Pertsev, the author of the Gruvbox themes, gave me/provided me with these codes."

It depends of course. Sometimes the passive may sound better.
