1) This building is being built for two years.

2) This building has been being built for two years.

Please check my sentences. If we talk about something that is going on for some time and still continuous so we need to use present perfect continuous am I correct?

1) This building is being built for two years. :cross:

2) This building has been being built for two years. :tick:

Please check my sentences. If we talk about something that [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] has been going on for some time and still [STRIKE]continuous[/STRIKE] continues, [STRIKE]so[/STRIKE] we need to use the present perfect continuous. Am I correct?

See above.

Note that a less clunky version would be 'This building has been under construction for two years'.

Or, "They have been constructing this building for two years."
