I'm writing a script:

Jeff watches him through his binoculars.

"What do you want?"

Then (suddenly) he (suddenly) remembers something - pulls out his phone and makes a call.

Where would you place 'suddenly' in this sentence?
 
Both positions seem OK to me. I see no need for 'Then'.
