I want to say some people have newly-acquired wealth. Can I use "nouveau riche idiot"?

Is this okay?

@alpacinou - It is getting quite tedious to keep having to change your thread titles. Please stop using "I want to say ..." as your title and use the sentence you actually want us to look at. I have changed dozens of them, and each time I have attached a note (that you should see in your notifications) saying "Improved thread title".

Yes, but put nouveau riche in italics.

I wouldn't put it in italics. It's so commonly used in English that I don't think you need to mark out its French origin.
