The street glittered empty and clean. Sara decided she wouldn't get an Uber but walk home. With earphones in, she was lost in the music when she felt a sudden force pushing her and then she collapsed. The world stood still for a quick second and then a man grabbed her purse and disappeared in an alley nearby. She yelled through the night. "Help. Please help. I've been mugged," but no one was there. She struggled back to her feet and dusted herself off. Was that just a bad nightmare? A cold wind whooshed through the naked tree tops. No, this was real. And she had to deal with it.
