Some small and medium industries have already been established beside Padma project areas. Businessmen apprehend that if Padma Bridge is built and gas connectivity is ensured, burgeoning industries will emerge around Padma project areas. Since five years ago, businessmen hurriedly stumbles to set up industries in various areas of South-western part keeping Padma project in mind. It is expected that GDP can be increased by 1.2 percentage due to setting up of industries in south-western parts focusing feasibility of proposed Padma Bridge.
