[Grammar] the position is well suited to my skills

Question:
Which sentence does native speaker prefer?

Sentence1:
I am sure that the position is well suited to my skills.
Sentence2:
I am sure that my skills are well suited to the position.

I prefer #2.

I'm not sure why.

I think the "why" is because the intended audience is looking for a person to fill his position, not the other way around.
