Have I made any mistakes?

The opposition leader, Tom Thompson, was an anti-establishment figure. But when he became the prime minister, he seemed to have forgotten all his promises and went on implementing the same measures he had vehemently criticised before. People who had voted for his party were in disbelief. They could not understand what happened to their leader. How could he have changed his mind? Some came with an explanation that power corrupted even the noblest men.

How could he have changed his mind?

How about so quickly or so utterly?
