Hi there. Would you please proofread the following text? Any help would be appreciated.

*****************************************************************************************

When the dust cleared, there was silence, eerie silence. People got back to the feet slowly, as if not believing it was over. Gan signalled everyone to wait inside while he alone risked going outside to look, to make sure it was over. Jingying joined him, and holding hands, they stepped out into the night.

Meanwhile, Jiang was tending to Yang and Lanhua. Both had broken a few ribs, Lanhua had a broken arm, and Yang had a concussion from a nasty rock that had defended itself against the oncoming blow that his head had made upon it. Jiang gave Yang a strong pain medication that did not make him feel drowsy and a cup of tea to keep him alert. Lanhua had her broken arm set in place, splinted, and put in a sling. She also received some pain medication.

Moogh was suffering from hero worship; word of his having saved Suxin and the missing Meili, and then running back out to save Yang and Lanhua as well, had earned him a great deal of respect and gratitude. Moogh was fed and watered, and a group of children and older teenagers were busy brushing his fur clean of dirt and dust. Of course, suffering is not really the right word, and although he never looked for a lot of attention, he certainly seemed to enjoy the brushing. Eventually, though, Lanhua had to ask his admirers to let him rest. Moogh somehow managed to look both disappointed and relieved at the same time.

Now I get it. Moogh is an animal!

Whew! I should take notes. . . .
