The hat I bought my daughter didn't fit her very good/well.

Would a native say this? Are both okay?

A lot of native speakers incorrectly say 'good'.

'...it didn't fit her very well' is grammatically correct.

Is it correct to say: " The hat I bought for/to my daughter didn't fit her very well"?

Only 'The hat I bought for my daughter...' is correct.

I think I agree with you, but this is one error I don't look down on too sternly, as the use of "good" as an adverb goes back before the Norman Invasion, and still survives in most Scandinavian and Germanic languages.

Wie geht's?
Gut, danke.
