Does the sentence mean "X therapy, in addition to that it (the X therapy) can induce the development of more resistant strains of A and B, it (the X therapy) can cause serious adverse events, which should be considered"?

The sentence is:

It has to be considered that serious adverse events can occur with X therapy, in addition to the development of more resistant strains of A and B.

"X therapy, in addition to the fact that it can induce the development of more resistant strains of A and B, can cause serious adverse events, which must be considered."

Although patched up, this version is still inferior to the original. It is longer and more cumbersome.

Thank you.
The purpose of the thread was to grasp its exact meaning. If the rewritten sentence ("X therapy, in addition to the fact that it can induce the development of more resistant strains of A and B, can cause serious adverse events, which must be considered."
) has the same meaning as the original sentence ("It has to be considered that serious adverse events can occur with X therapy, in addition to the development of more resistant strains of A and B."), the question has been perfectly resolved.

Well then, I think it has been, albeit a trifle laboriously :)

Yes, that's exactly it. Are you writing the labels for an antibiotic?
