The attack yesterday saw two men captured and dragged in front of a Taliban court who ruled the men should have a leg and a hand each chopped off for working with the allied forces.

(Retrieved from Taliban militants cut off leg and hand of two men because they worked with allied forces )

I regard the red part as unnatural. I think that there should be "then" or "consequently" between "a Taliban court who" and "ruled the men".
What do you say about that?

It's fine as it is.

You could add one of the words there, but it is understood that the second part comes after they appeared in court.
