[Grammar] The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

Hello,
Can we change the position of the adverb 'far' after verb 'outweigh'?

The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
The advantages outweigh the disadvantages far.

Can all of these be considered possible adverbs for the verb 'outweigh'; however, I know that the whole idea of the sentence can be different?

The advantages easily/greatly/heavily/more than/vastly outweigh the disadvantages.

Question 1) No, but you could use by far. But still, the first sentence is better.

Question 2) I don't have a big problem with any of your suggestions except vastly, which I think doesn't work.

Thanks teacher. You meant "vastly" is not possible collocation for the verb 'outweigh' , or in this context, it didn't make sense?

In Oxford Collocation Book, "vastly" used as a collocation for verb "outweigh".

Yes. It doesn't sound very good to me because of the usual uses of vast, which is usually used to describe a very wide space. This is just my own feeling, though. I expect others may think it's fine, so don't worry about it - it wouldn't be considered wrong in an IELTS essay, for example.

The Economist is very fond of vastly. They use it vastly more often than I would.
