Hi,

I was told by a very nice native speaker of English that "Thank you for your sharing" is wrong and unnatural but I've seen native speakers use "Thank you for sharing". Why is the latter correct and natural?
 
I think both sentences are fine grammatically and the usage of "your" isn't grammatically incorrect.
