Hi,

I will leave my company. My boss will write a reference letter for me.
What is the tense for job reference letter?
Past tense, present tense, or mixture of both?

Example for mixture of both past tense and present tense:
Tom is hard-working. He always worked until 10pm.
Tom is clever. He did not need my help.
Tom is careful. He never made mistake.

Thanks

A mixture of tenses is fine. I hope your boss will write rather longer and more complicated sentences than those you have suggested.
