I saw this:

"How do you clean the shaver?

We recommend you run it under hot water. Just don't tap it on the sink."

What does tap it on the sink mean?

Thanks

Whoever titled the video is either not a native Anglophone or trying to make a play on words.

It could also be a contrast with the way people rinse and tap razors on the sink.

"Tap" means knocking gently correct? Like gentle knock on the door?

I am not sure because it seems like getting water from the tap when I searched for it

Yes, you've got. No, it has nothing to do with getting water from the tap.

P.S. Say:

a gentle knock on the door
