An example sentence using "take somebody/something (for example)" in Longman Contemporary: People love British cars. Take the Mini. In Japan, it still sells more than all the other British cars put together.
I can't understand the logic in these sentences.
I would write the sentences as: "Japanese People love British cars. They sell more than German cars, French cars, American cars, etc."
