Could you please let me know if I can use 'Guess' in place of 'Suppose'.
for eg:
"I guess you were working on the final report".
or
"I suppose you were working on the final report"

Yes, you can use both "guess" is more AmE and "suppose" is more BrE.

I agree with bhaisahab. In your example 'guess' and 'suppose' are interchangeable.
