Hello. Can you explain the meaning of the following sentence?

"She was not destined to stay behind the decks forever."

While dictionaries keep silence about this expression/idiom, there are some internet articles which use it in the title. And I wonder which one of the multiple meanings of "deck" is deployed here. Thank you.

It's a part of the text from Cambridge English Proficiency textbook. The text presents talented young people. Among them is Yasmin Shahmir, a singer.
"After five years spent DJing, this is one milestone the 22 year-old will never forget. The feline-eyed singer cuts a striking figure and you sense she was not denstined to stay behind the decks forever.'
 
Thanks. The context tells me that "decks" are equipment used by DJs and "being behind the decks" is working as a DJ. The author thinks the subject of the story had more in her future than only being a DJ.
