No dogmatic religion will stand thinking.

What does this sentence mean?
The part 'stand thinking' is confusing!

It's a sentence from a book titled 'Words in Pain' by Olga Jacoby.

In this context "stand" means "stand up to" or "live with". It's the same meaning it has when we say we can't stand something or someone.
