Hi,
I'd like to know what "split hair" means.

To split hairs is to argue about something so minor that arguing is pointless. A hair is so thin that splitting it is almost impossible.

 There is, however a condition that my sisters - when they were teenagers - used to complain about: 'split ends'. I never found out precisely what it meant, but I imagine it's a First World problem! ;-)

It is just that, but there are more serious issues to worry about. ;-)
